SCOPE: This position is within the Bargaining Unit of CUPE 2440. It is open internally and externally. Internal candidates will be considered first and will receive priority in appointment.

SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Regional Director and working in collaboration with the other members of the regional team, the Program Officer will contribute to CUSO's programming activities. These responsibilities include the support administration of cooperant activities, operational administration and the representation of CUSO's program Indonesia. His/her specific thematic and functional responsibilities will be in the regional annual program plan.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- minimum 3 years experience in development work with NGOs, with particular
   attention to work in sustainable economic alternatives and/or cultural survival;
- demonstrated program management skills;
- experience in NGO administration, including finances, human resources &
   office management;
- minimum 3 years experience working with cooperants/volunteers;
- computer literacy;
- ability to work in English and in Bahasa Indonesia;
- a sound understanding of the country and regional context, i.e.
   political, social and economic realities, forces of social change and
   climate for development;
- sensitivity to the political situation;
- proven ability in the development and writing of successful revenue
   generation proposals.
